She has always loved helping and working with children since she’s a young girl. She’s been involved in education for more than 25 years, 20 with the Fairfax County Public School system, focusing on early education, special education, and Academic Coaching. Trained in ADHD Academic Coaching, Yoga Teacher Training for Special Needs Children, Fairfax County Homeless Liaison Tutor, and Fairfax County Parenting Program Facilitator.  Kids Building Selves, LLC was established in 2013 to fill the educational gap for young children with executive function skill difficulties and deficits.

Kids Building Selves provides coaching services; one on one, at after school programs as well as at private schools. Kids Building Selves successfully contracted with Fairfax County in 2014 to provide a youth summer program specifically focused on executive functions. Ms. Selz has been involved with training's from Nannies to eCommerce classes for small business contractors and was Chair of the Training Committee for the Educational Support Staff of FCPS. KBS was chosen to present to our local CHADD Chapter, about Executive Functions to parents and professionals involved with education.
